New. Youth Prepaid Card for 16-18 Year Olds
The card provides young people independence in making purchases in businesses and websites in both Israel and overseas without being constantly dependent on their parents. A balance of up to NIS 2,500 is offered with monthly reloading of the same amount. To purchase the card, the parent’s written approval is required along with a photocopy of the parent’s ID. Purchasing a card
To purchase a $ Prepaid Visa Card, go to one of the post office branches located throughout the country.
If you are an Israeli resident, bring your ID. If you are a foreign resident, bring with you a valid passport and another form of photo ID.
Note – Persons 18 and older may purchase a card. If you are under the age of 18 and wish to purchase a card, you can ask your relative to purchase a card and add you as a beneficiary on the card so that you can easily use it. For your information, certain transactions may only be carried out by the card holder.
Reloading the card
Want to reload your card? It’s simple and easy! Go to the post office nearest to you with the card and with ID. They will load your card for you.
The card holder does not need to come to the post office branch for reloading. The card can be reloaded by the card holder’s representative.
Reloading a card for a customer who is not the card holder
Come to the post office branch with at least two of the following:
- ID Number of the card purchaser.
- The last 4 digits of the card.
- Name of the card appearing after the POST IL label
To reload the card, come with an ID (ID or passport for a foreign resident) to one of the post office branches.
Payment is made in foreign currency, in cash or by credit card.
The card can be reloaded multiple times while valid, with the maximum balance at any point in time not exceeding NIS 9,999 or $2,500 – whichever of the two is less per reload is $20.
Dear Customer, please note that reloading at post office branches incurs a 1% fee, and reloading through bank transfer incurs a fee of 0.8%. The maximum amount of monthly reloading cumulative is NIS 30,000, the maximum amount for annual reloading cumulative is NIS 180,000.
- For Israel Post account holders who reload prepaid card through the Home Banking website online – the limit of the reloadable amount is up to NIS 30,000 cumulative daily / NIS 180,000 cumulative monthly / up to the limit of the amount on the card. The number of reloads is restricted to 2 reloads per day and up to 100 reloads per month.
