Purchasing a MasterCard has never been simpler
- Go to a post office nearest to your home and purchase a prepaid MasterCard.
- Bring your ID with you (if you are a foreign resident, bring your valid passport and a second form of photo ID).
- Note – Persons 16 and older may purchase a card. If you are under the age of 16 and wish to purchase a card, you can ask your relative to purchase a card and add you as a beneficiary on the card so that you can easily use it. For your information, certain transactions may only be carried out by the card holder.

Purchase of a card allows young men and women independence in making purchases in businesses and online both in Israel and overseas without being constantly dependent on their parents.

Dear Customer, please note! The reloading fee is a minimum of NIS 7, with the reloading fee in foreign currency being 1% of the principle and the reloading fee of the NIS wallet being 2.5% of the amount of the principle.
Want to reload your card? It’s simple and easy
The MasterCard can be reloaded multiple times during its period, with the maximum balance at any point in time not exceeding Euro 5,000 or its equivalent (total in both currencies). The lowest amount for reloading is NIS 100 or its equivalent in foreign currency. Monthly reloading cumulative for the card will not exceed NIS 30,000 or its equivalent in foreign currency.
Reloading a card has never been simpler
- The card may be reloaded by making a payment in one of the post office branches in cash, foreign currency or credit card (for reloading foreign currency only).
- The card may be reloaded by way of online bank transfer.
*Note – the card holder does not need to be present in the post office to reload the card. The card can be reloaded by a representative of the card holder upon presentation of ID.
Reloading a card for a customer who is not the card holder:
Arrive at the post office branches with at least two of the following:
- מספר תעודת זהות של רוכש הכרטיס
- ID number of the card buyer
- The last 4 digits of the card
- Name of the card that appears below the card number (begins with number 200)
All information that you need to know about reloading a card
- The card may also be reloaded online, 24/7 directly from the home bank website of the bank in which your account is being managed.
- Every card (or pair of card) has been assigned a unique account number in the Postal Bank. Enter your account on your bank website and make the transfer to the special account in the Postal Bank.
- You don’t know the account number to make a transfer in the Postal Bank? Call the Postal Bank’s foreign currency call center at 076-8871133 or at https://www.bankhadoar.co.il/#/PrePaidCardDeposit and find out the special account number for reloading your card at the Postal Bank.
- The card will be reloaded by the amount of the transfer in NIS offset by a 2.5% reloading fee or by conversion to foreign currency (Euro / British Pound) offset by a 1% reloading fee in the Post Office, 0.8% upon bank transfer from the amount of the transfer (minimum reloading fee NIS 7).
- Postal Bank account holders when reloading the prepaid card through the Home Bank website: limit of the reloadable amount is NIS 30,000 cumulative daily / NIS 180,000 cumulative monthly / up to the limit if the amount on the card. The limit on the number of reloads – up to 2 reloads per day and up to 100 reloads per month.
- The minimum reloading amount for the card is NIS 100 or its equivalent in foreign currency.
- The card will be reloaded on the next business day after the transfer based on the foreign currency rate at the time the money is reloaded to the card.
- Upon the sale of the card the default currency established and the card will be reloaded in this currency. If you want to reload with British Pounds or NIS, change the default currency. The default currency (€/£/₪) can be set in My Account and the relevant wallet will reload accordingly. The default currency settings must be established prior to the transfer!
- The default account cannot be changed on the same business day but only on the business day prior to the deposit. Hence, it is not possible to deposit into more than one currency on the same business day.
- The transferor is solely responsible for examining the default account prior to making the transfer.
- Restrictions: the Postal Bank may return the money transfer designed to reload the prepaid card with foreign currency if the amount loaded results in the balance of the card exceeding its permitted balance.
